Why Adobe Illustrator ?

Adobe Illustrator is a vector graphics editor developed and marketed by Adobe Systems. Originally designed for the Apple Macintosh, development of Adobe Illustrator began in 1985. Along with Creative Cloud (Adobe's shift to monthly or annual subscription service delivered over the Internet), Illustrator CC was released. The latest version, Illustrator CC 2018, was released in March 2018 and is the 22nd generation in the product line. Adobe Illustrator was reviewed as the best vector graphics editing program in 2018

There are many reasons why I chose Adobe Illustrator over other software available when it was time to admit I needed to upgrade.
It's familiarity after being an avid Paintshop Pro user, followed by Fireworks was the main one, it felt somehow familiar when I downloaded my first copy .. I had held onto fireworks like a dying man to a dinghy for as long as I could before making the switch .. I don't like that kind of change !!

I've now been using Adobe Illustator for nearly 5 years now and have recently subscribed to their new Creative Cloud Service, it is simply the best piece of software for the way I like to create my graphics.
Previously I was a huge Fan of Fireworks and when I changed my allegiance I was skeptical, but I have to be honest, Illustrator kicks the knickers off of it's rivals for it's quality in production & print, as a web designer too at first I got frustrated at what seems to me to be the "scattering" of functions around the artboards but once you know where everything is it is one of the easiest to use by far, and is far more flexible than you could imagine.

ALL of my graphics, even the printables are created within Illustrator so that I can produce at 300dpi across all artwork, it gives a much better finished product and for vectors means you get an extremely crisp edge to hand drawn elements.
